Also huge shout out to Rita Mills the organizer of the competition! She is a lovely person, who has given all of us the opportunity of a lifetime. Thanks Rita for all your hard work!!

Now we wait .... the results will be announced at the end of the month! Keep those fingers crossed!

Update: Unfortunately, we didn't win this time around. However, it was a great learning experience. Thanks again to all of you who supported us!

Autumn Days

This is a coloring sheet I created for my daughter's 2nd grade class. The theme is "Autumn Days" and I'll be making cupcakes with chocolate candy leaves and acorns to accompany the coloring sheets. I hope they like it.

Illustration Friday - Pattern

The patterns on the walls of the ancient fortress mesmerized young Rowan. She needed to press forward... onward and upward. The sword of Balthor had to be at the top of the tower, the prophecy couldn't have been more clear.

ABC Children's Picture Book Competition

The ABC Children's Picture Book Competition is in full swing now. It's killing me not knowing how we're doing. I'm dying for the play by play. ha ha!

I'm having fun, sending out press releases, uploading trailers, making coloring sheets, tweeting, FB'ing, etc. etc. At the very least, Summer and I can feel proud of ourselves for giving it our all!!

Thank goodness my friends and family can put up with the constant reminders "Please vote, " "Did you vote today, " "Vote, vote, vote." (We'll see if they still can stand me by the end of two weeks!!)

School Lunch with color

I just got my order of hot press, and pens (when I placed the order I couldn't resist adding some pens too) - one of which were Farber Castell's landscape pens. I love the colors, and had to try them out ... so here is the colored version of School Lunch (using my new pens!). :)
